MINI MINYAN — A SERVICE AND SOCIAL GROUP FOR OUR TINIEST MEMBERS - Click herefor more information.

Mini MinynMini Minyan is both a service and a social group for Brith Shalom’s mini-members. One Friday every month throughout the school year, the group meets for services specifically designed to invoke the joy of Shabbat in our youngest congregants. The service includes music and the children are encouraged to participate through dance and song. Participants range in age from toddlers to second grade. Following the service, a light dinner is served for the children while the parents enjoy each other’s company.

MACHAR — A SOCIAL GROUP FOR CHILDREN "IN THE MIDDLE" - Click here for more information.

MacharMachar in Hebrew means "tomorrow." This newest youth group of Congregation Brith Shalom fosters Jewish identification among children who are "in the middle" too mature for Mini Minyan and too young for Kadima. Machar addresses the social needs of children in grades three through five. and strives to develop their sense of spirit-or "Ruach"-toward their synagogue and community. Machar youth participate in fun activities, such as going to the movies, bowling, playing miniature golf, and sometimes just hanging out with their Jewish friends for a sleepover. This new group brings together children who attend our Religious School and those who attend Day Schools within our community.
