HAZAK

HAZAK is USY for Mature Adults! The word in English means strength.

A new HAZAK chapter has been formed at Congregation Brith Shalom. This is the first chapter affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism in Houston.

Our Goals

  • Programming for the 55+ age population
  • Opportunities to enjoy social, educational, cultural, and religious activities within our Conservative family
  • Interaction with other HAZAK chapters both regionally and internationally

What Types of Programming Do We Plan?

  • Get togethers for movies and dinners
  • Cultural and educational programs
  • Lunch and learn sessions
  • Trips to area points of interest

Top

What Else Will We Offer?

  • One-week sleep away camp for HAZAK members (campers come from all over the USA and Canada) Camp is always held in June. So plan for a fun week in June 2010! More details will be available as we get closer to that date.
  • Trip to Israel geared for participants in our age group every January. For details about the next journey, download the brochure.
