Community of Respect
A Community of Respect is a community-wide anti-bias initiative is based on the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL’s) successful No Place for Hate® school program. More than 100 schools in ADL’s Southwest Region have been recognized annually as No Place for Hate® after completing a series of ADL-approved anti-bias activities, signing a Resolution of Respect and creating a diversity committee.
Under the umbrella of the Community of Respect® program, this free, customizable and results-driven program is available to the larger community. Houston Mayor Bill White and Sugar Land Mayor David Wallace serve as the Honorary Chairpersons of the program, and are joined by a diverse group of business, community, religious, government and educational leaders, all of whom are committed to doing their part to ensure that we are, and always will be a Community of Respect®.
