Service Organizations

Four organizations work to provide the best services to Congregation Brith Shalom. These are:

The Sisterhood is an active and vibrant part of our synagogue. Our programs throughout the year encourage education, leadership, socialization and relationship building. Working together we can cultivate Jewish continuity in our homes, synagogue and the community at large.

There are so many ways for you to contribute your skills to the Brith Shalom family. We would love for you to help build, bridge and bond a more active, committed Sisterhood of Women and a stronger Brith Shalom. Come empower yourself and belong to our Sisterhood.

Our members span a wide range of interests, ages and backgrounds.

Programs are designed to enhance personal growth, Jewish involvement and a sense of community.

MEN'S CLUB - Click this heading for more information.

The overall goals of the Men’s Club are:

  • To meet the social, spiritual and educational needs of male members of Congregation Brith Shalom
  • To provide resources to support the needs of the congregation and community
  • To promote the philosophy of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs and to serve as a model for other men’s clubs across the country.
  • We invite all BCS men and especially the newest members of the shul to join us at our many popular activities including: Sporting events, Men’s Club Shabbat, Sunday morning breakfast programs. We also invite you to help create new activities and programs that will help us accomplish our goals and have fun!

    The Parent Teacher Organization Committee is the liason committee between the parents and teachers of our Sunday and Hebrew School program Pre-K through 7th grade. We support our school program with everything from snacks to fund raising to holiday events. Some of the highlights last year included the Hanukkah party, Family Purim Program, the Tu B'Shvat Family Seder and the Hanukkah Candle fundraiser.We our always looking for parents to join us to help enhance our children's jewish educational experience.     SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE - Click this heading for more information.

    The Social Action Committee, Co-Chaired by Dori Wind and Pam Geyer, is involved in projects that include:

  • Diversity outreach to non-Jewish groups with the goal of establishing good relationships and communications with those who are different from us in their culture, history, or religion. The goal is mutual understanding and building alliances that will benefit all.
  • Working with homeless shelters, Child Protective Services and other organizations that provide to the disadvantaged, as well as other local and community projects that heal the world (tikkum olam).
